This excursion is amazing. It’s about a 2 hour ride from Medellin to Guatapé. We stopped about half way in between to feed llamas which was really cool. Our tour guide Camilo was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He made the 2 hour ride there and back very enjoyable with his conversation and Knowledge about Medellin and Columbia. For the Guatapé rock I would recommend comfortable shoes and some water for the climb up but the view at the top is well worth It. After that you eat lunch and walk around the beautiful city of Guatape which is amazing. End the day with riding jet skis which was really fun as well. Highly recommended this excursion. Well worth the price.

Guatape and Jet-Ski Tour Itinerary:
After we pick you up at your place in Medellin we make our way through the mountains in a comfortable private car.
It takes around 50 minutes to get to our first delicious stop.
First Stop: Exotic Fruit Tasting

Second Stop: Climbing Up The Guatape Rock
At this massive rock you get the chance to climb up it. It has 749 steps and takes around 50 minutes to go up and down.

Once you reach the top, you can stay up there for as long as you wish as you witness one of the most beautiful views you have ever seen.
This is not only our opinion but that of hundreds of tourists we have taken there.

Our next destination is Guatape, one of the most colorful and picturesque towns in Colombia.
Third Stop: Guatape Town The City of Zocalos
At this town we take a fully narrated walking tour through the town's landmarks: church, main square, remembrance street, Zocalos Square and more.

Once the walking tour has concluded we take you to the best restaurant in town to have a traditional delicious lunch (not included in the tour) where you have more than 20 different options to try the local cuisine accompanied by a cold sangria or a craft beer.
After we have seen all the beautiful places this town has to offer we get ready to sail. The Jet-ski awaits us to start an amazing ride around the lake for around 1 hour.
Fourth Stop: Private Jet-ski Ride
Our Jet-skis are 700cc meaning that you have a good engine to have a nice experience. The jet-ski time included in this tour is 1 hour.

Your tour guide will give you all the riding instructions, life vests and insurance registration (included in the tour).
You will be riding by yourself however for your own security we ask you to follow all the safety instructions.
In case you want to ride with your partner we will not charge you any extra money, however please keep in mind that you can't switch drivers.
Ride with your friend around the lake
Whether you have jet-skis experience or not everyone agrees in that having the huge and beautiful rock of Guatape all the time in your sight makes it a unique ride.
You can ride the Jet-Ski anywhere you want as long as you know the way back but bear in mind that in case you crash the jet-ski or you flip it over there is a fine you need to pay starting of 300.000 pesos (around $75USD) to get it fixed, not to mention that you could get hurt and ruin the rest of your trip so please drive it carefully.

Please remember to bring swimsuit or some spare clothes to change in case you get very wet during the ride.
After the jet-ski ride is finished we start our journey back to Medellin, with a smile in your face and full of good memories and photos.

Make an amazing private Jetski ride around the lake
We suggest you to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes that cover your toes completely for climbing the rock as well as bathing suit to wear during the jet ski activity or if you didn't bring any then some extra clothes to change in case you get very wet.
The Jetski ride included in this tour is 1 hour of the 700 cc Jetski, please bear in mind that you can explore by yourself around the lake and go almost as far as you want but you need to come back to the dock punctual after that hour, some extra money would be charged in case you are delayed.
Also bring cash in pesos in case you want to pay the rock entrance fees in case you want to climb it, the price is 30.000 pesos (equivalent to $7 USD).

From April 12th to 20th, the Guatapé region experiences its busiest season of the year as Colombians take vacations for Easter week. During this time, the area sees extremely high traffic and large crowds, with tens of thousands of tourists and vehicles.
To minimize long traffic delays and lengthy lines at the entrance to the rock, we are only offering tours with pick-up times at 6:30, 7:00, or 7:30 AM (with earlier times being preferable). This ensures we arrive at the rock before the peak crowds.
