Wow, what a wonderful experience. From the ride up the mountain road into the clouds, to the last stretch of hills and stairs that you must climb to get to the launching point. What a workout. Definitely thinner air up there and what a way to get your heart rate going. Good thing they have Reston stations along he way. Now I see why our driver who picked us up at the hotel gave us 2 bottle waters.
Now to the launch itself. An exhilarating time in the clouds, circling the valley overlooking Medellin. Andres and Jaun were wonderful caretakers and pilots. My flight was well over 30 minutes and could have been even longer but I asked to go back a little early. I recommend taking some motion pills to help just In case you began feeling a little different up there in the sky.
These guys even provided GoPro video clips for about $10 dollars extra. I got 20 minutes of breath taking footage. My experience was just unbelievable. There are 4 vendors offering this service but I would recommend Jaun and Andres to all who want to try this sport.
