What a fun evening! A must do tour!

Andres picked us up for our food tour adventure promptly at 6:30 at our hotel. He spoke perfect English and we instantly became friends. Andres was personable, informative, and authentic. It was like we were spending the evening with family. He drove us to a small city outside of Medellín (about an hour drive) where we tried a number of dishes, had shots of anise flavored liquor and chatted about Colombian culture. We then went to a coffee farm where we enjoyed a homemade family entree, dessert, and a traditional beer drink. This was our favorite part of the evening. We ate and talked outside, away from the bustling city where we heard only crickets and the 2 family dogs playing. Everyone so so kind and we all left very full. We returned back to the hotel at 10:40. Andres even took pictures of us that he edited and then emailed back to us. While a food tour may not be something you think about when visiting Medellín, I highly recommend signing up for this tour!
