Free Day in Colombia Well Spent

We had an amazing experience, our guide Laura was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from the country and region to the flora and fauna of the coffee and chocolate houses we visited. I would highly recommend this tour. My family was in Colombia for a wedding and this is how we used our free day, you will not regret it! Excellent food for lunch and they were very accommodating of the various dietary restrictions (vegetarians) and food allergies (gluten intolerance). We got to make our own chocolate bars after picking cacao off the trees, make coffee after seeing the full growing process it was wonderful. Do be warned that part of the trip (at least our trip) required quite a steep walk uphill and was not accessible for my mother who is approaching 70 and had to stay with the lovely family who hosted our chocolate tasting while the rest of us went up to the coffee house.
